We had to say good-bye to our sweet girl Solo. She had a growth that turned cancerous, and it took her from us very quickly and unexpectedly. We will love her forever π

Carnival
It's time for the summertime carnival! And this year we had some family visiting to join in the fun! James is not much for rides (he never has been!) Notice cousin Kate with her hands in the air, and James has a death grip on the bar. Ha ha!
He does however love playing the games at the carnival.

Camarillo, CA
We had a spur of the moment trip to Camarillo, CA this weekend. Steve had to deliver a piece of equipment for his job, so he loaded up a big box truck and headed out! James and I were allowed to tag along so we decided to make a weekend out of it!
We had to drive all night the first night in order to make the delivery on time (yuck), but the rest of the weekend was just eating, shopping, swimming & relaxing!

Portage
Well, it's time for our annual trip up to Portage Utah to bring flowers and to clean the headstones of some of our loved ones. We make to trip every year at this time because #1 we want to, and #2 because it's important to my mom and she is unable to do it because they're living in Colorado at the moment! We enjoy doing it, and it's an absolutely beautiful place to spend an afternoon.

Thomas Graduates!
Thomas finished his high school education! And even though he refused to walk or wear a cap & gown (the big stinker π ) we did get to embarrass him a little bit, and have a family dinner with him to celebrate his big day.

Little League
James started his first year in little league this year. It's his first year where the kids actually pitch (rather than a machine or a coach.) It's still not very competitive because they are all still learning, but he did have to try out to be on a team, and they do keep score and have championships. They also get baseball uniforms instead of just t-shirts. (He look pretty cute I have to say!)
He got drafted to the Angels, and he's their 1st baseman! He's got one heck of a glove!

Aunt Linda's Funeral
My Aunt Linda, my Dad's sister, passed away a few weeks ago. We went up to Idaho for a graveside service at the Teton-Newdale Cemetery. Dad gave a beautiful talk, and Steve dedicated the grave. It was a nice service and we got to catch up with some family that we don't see very often, so that was nice.
Unfortunately, Linda's son David was over an hour late to the funeral...and he had her ashes! So we all got to sit out in the sun πand wait for the to arrive. Afterwards we all shared our sunburn pics on Facebook and had a good laugh!
While we were in the neighborhood (in Idaho) we stopped by the Wilford Cemetery to pay a visit to Jack.
It was a quick trip, but great time with family π

Spring Break CO
James and I went out to Colorado to visit Grammy and Grampie for spring break. We went to all the usual spots...
Like bowling, laser tag and arcade games at the Summit...
and dinner at On the Boarder, where the chips are as big as your glass!
We played countless games of cards with James the card shark π¦...
(and Thomas came over for a few days! He's having fun, he just doesn't like his smile :)
And what would be a trip to Colorado without spending a day in Boulder!
At Pearl Street Mall and the street performers...
and Fun N' Stuff for a little go-kart action! (I'm pretty sure I won π)
I always hate to leave :(

Easter 2016
Eater at Grandma & Grandpa L's house! Family fun, lots of yummy food, and of course an Easter egg hunt π₯
(James would rather hide the eggs now than find the eggs, but he's a good sport and plays along for the little cousins.)

James's 10th B-Day
James's turned 10 this year! I can't believe how time flies.
He started his day waking up to balloons. (It's a tradition in our family)
For his party this year he chose bowling!
His birth mom Rose was able to be there too. We are so glad to live close enough now that we can spend special days like this together!
Such a great day for such a fantastic boy...or "pre-teen" as he likes to call himself now ;)

Provo Tabernacle
We got the chance to walk through the Provo tabernacle temple, and it is beautiful. Unique, charming, beautiful. We are so lucky to have so many beautiful temples nearby.
