5th Grade

James started 5th grade this year!  He needs to just STOP GROWING!

 And this cat seems to think he lives here 😂LOL

This year I turned 38 and Steve turned 37

Weirdo

This is how James chose to sleep....all of the stuffed animals in the bed and the human being on the floor!

Summer @ Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake this SUMMER!

and it was MUCH warmer!  It was so warm that I didn't really take any pictures! LOL 

Dad's Farm

While we were up in Idaho, we took some time for Dad to show us some special spots from his childhood.

 This is the farm that my dad worked on growing up.  It is such a cool building, and it was even more special being there with my Dad!

This building is a school house that my grandpa went to as a child.

 This is my mom's house in Rexburg.  I remember going there as a kid, riding the lawnmower, eating the vegetables from the garden, and playing the money game with Grandpa.

 This is my dad's house in St. Anthony.  His grandma lived in the house across the street.  I remember my Dad's room was down in the basement away from the rest of the house.

Pioneer Day in St. Anthony, ID

We took a quick trip up to Idaho with Mom & Dad and Jason's family for the 24th of July to see the Pioneer day Parade.

 

The parade was probably the best one we've ever been to!  Small town fun...

and TONS of candy! 

Cousin Time!

Nothing better than when cousins visit!  We went to the movies, and played car games, an took them to check out the newest temple...the Provo Tabernacle temple.  Sure wish they lived closer!

Colorado

Another trip to Colorado to see the grandparents!  We did all of the regular stuff (bowling, eating out, Boulder, etc.) plus lots of time on the kayaks.  If we didn't miss Daddy so much, we would never go home!

Good-bye Sweet Solo

We had to say good-bye to our sweet girl Solo.  She had a growth that turned cancerous, and it took her from us very quickly and unexpectedly.  We will love her forever 💔

Carnival

It's time for the summertime carnival!  And this year we had some family visiting to join in the fun!  James is not much for rides (he never has been!) Notice cousin Kate with her hands in the air, and James has a death grip on the bar.  Ha ha!

 He does however love playing the games at the carnival.

Camarillo, CA

We had a spur of the moment trip to Camarillo, CA this weekend.  Steve had to deliver a piece of equipment for his job, so he loaded up a big box truck and headed out!  James and I were allowed to tag along so we decided to make a weekend out of it!  

We had to drive all night the first night in order to make the delivery on time (yuck), but the rest of the weekend was just eating, shopping, swimming & relaxing!

Portage

Well, it's time for our annual trip up to Portage Utah to bring flowers and to clean the headstones of some of our loved ones.  We make to trip every year at this time because #1 we want to, and #2 because it's important to my mom and she is unable to do it because they're living in Colorado at the moment!  We enjoy doing it, and it's an absolutely beautiful place to spend an afternoon.  

Thomas Graduates!

Thomas finished his high school education!  And even though he refused to walk or wear a cap & gown (the big stinker 😠) we did get to embarrass him a little bit, and have a family dinner with him to celebrate his big day.

James's 2nd Piano Recital

James's 2nd piano recital!  Getting better by the minute.

Pit Bike

James got his first dirt bike!  It's a little pit bike that Steve was able to acquire with a little side deal on a camper.  It needs a little fixing, but it'll be a great learning bike for James.  He is so excited!
