Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we went to Colorado with my family. James hasn't been there since he was a baby so I was excited to take him again and show him all that I love about my hometown.  the trip was way too short though so I have already started planning another trip for this summer :)

Happy Halloween!

This year James dressed up as a "Toxic Waste Warrior"?  Seriously, I don't know where these costume companies come up with their ideas!  This year James was pretty focused on the amount of candy he got so we spent a LONG time trick-or-treating.  But it was fun and we had another great year.

Pumpkin Patch

Football

Football season just ended, and James had a great season.  He had a great coach and he learned a lot, so hopefully he'll be even better next season.  It's definitely his favorite sport.

Happy Anniversary

For our big 15 year anniversary this year we went back to our honeymoon spot, Sundance, for a romantic dinner at the Tree room.  15 years down, an eternity to go.  I Love you babe xoxo

Fall Break

For fall brek this year we just stuck around Utah and hung out.  We went to the Natural History Museum, and to Boondocks for some go-cart/mini golf fun, and we stayed at a hotel for a night and went swimming!

Thriller

We went to see the Odyssey Dance Theater's performance of "Thriller" and it was spectacular.  James absolutely loves Halloween, with all of it's scary zombies, ghosts, witches, skeletons, etc. so I knew he'd love it too.

The only thing that spooked him a bit were these zombies that walked around while people were finding their seats.  They'd creep up behind you and just stare! So awesome.

Happy Birthday Solo!

Solo turned 11 this year!  We spoiled her with treats and bones and cupcakes!

Steve's Elk

Steve got his first elk of the year!

St. George

James & I tagged along on a business trip with Steve to St. George.  While we were down there we got to spend the day with Uncle Todd and his boys shooting guns and catching up.

James shot a rifle for the first time, and he was able to hit a stick about 15 yards away without a scope!  Not bad for his first time ;)

Violin Lessons

James started violin lessons this year. (It is a required class at his school starting in 3rd grade).  He was so excited to start lessons...he brings a violin home to practice every chance he gets :)

He also has developed a sudden interest in singing!?  Steve's trying to get him to take voice lessons but he's too being really bashful about that idea?  We must have a musical boy :)

Vegetable Derby

Cub Scouts vegetable derby...enough said.  James chose a cucumber, and he even carved a little cucumber driver (Steve helped a bit).  Soooo much fun!

Soccer Season

Soccer season is almost over, and football season has already begun!  (Man it's hard to get a good picture while 10 boys are all trying to get the ball at the same time! This is the best I could do :)

It was his first season playing soccer, and he did really well! His favorite positions are forward and goalie. As much as he's enjoying playing soccer, football is really wear his heart is (and his dad is probably who we can credit for that. Ever since birth James has watch the BYU games with his dad)

Bear Lake

It was cold this year at Bear Lake, but that didn't stop us from having fun and even playing in the water!
