Geography Bee

James took 3rd place in his school geography bee! Woot woot!

Decorate!

Christmas Tree

Time to get our Christmas tree!  This was the first year in awhile that we weren't freezing to death and picking a tree as fast as we could.  James decided he needed to help tie the tree to the car roof, and luckily he didn't fall off!

Piano

James had his first piano recital!  After only 3 lessons too! He was pretty nervous, which surprised me because he never gets nervous, but he did an excellent job playing his Christmas son "Away in a Manger".  Very proud mama

BYU Game

James is definitely into football these days, so we got tickets to the BYU vs Fresno game.  The boys (and grandpa) decided to brave the cold and go see BYU play in their last home game of the season...and of course BYU won.

Hunting

Steve got a hit early this year in the bow hunting season!  And James got to go up with his dad for the first time and helped bring it down the mountain...and he didn't throw up!  :) Steve was so proud of James that when they got home he took James to buy a new pair of shoes. (If you know James then you know his obsession with tennis shoes) So it was a great day for both my boys!

Pumpkin Carving

This was the first year that James was able to do his pumpkin completely by himself, from beginning to end.  All three of us decided to carve our favorite football team logos.  Broncos, Patriots & 49ers...guess which one belong to which team!

Pumpkin Patch

Another year at the pumpkin patch.  I think this marks our 10th year in a row!  Love, love, love this family tradition of ours!

Lagoon

We went to Lagoon with some family today, and all I have to say is that it's a good thing we cancelled our Disneyland vacation we had planned because James got scared on the Tidal Wave!  He still had fun on the bumper cars and the haunted rides, but that's about all he'd go on.  Since it's Halloween season Lagoon was doing it's Frightmares stuff too.  James really like seeing the stuff.  And the games were also a big hit with him too (shocker).  Steve and I had a blast on the new ride "The Cannibal".  It's easily the best ride we've ever been on.  Even though the line wait was about 45 minutes, we still rode it twice and it was well worth it!  Maybe next year James will be a bit more brave and we'll try Lagoon again.

  

Anniversay

We made it to 16 years!  And we still love each other! We are unbreakable :)  We went to dinner at the Tree Room at Sundance, like we did on our honeymoon.  Then we spent the night in Midway at the Blue Boar Inn.  We have stayed at the Blue Boar once before and we really like it so we like decided to go back.  (They also have the best Sunday brunch EVER!) Can't wait for many more anniversaries to celebrate.

Flag Football

Football has now become the passion. Everything from football on TV with dad, to collecting football card, to playing football video games.  James eats, sleeps and breathes football.  He's really improved since the last season he played and has turned into quite the little defender and he's really gunning to play tackle football...but I'm not quite sold on the ideas just yet.

Bear Lake

Another reunion at the beautiful Bear Lake.  This year's weather was much, much better than last year, thank goodness.  We had a great time visiting with all of our aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, friends, etc...and this year we had our tent trailer!  We had a rough start with the trailer when we first got to the lake but Steve, aka Mr. Fix-it, had it working in no time.  I will never camp again without one ;)  Already can't wait for next year!

Back to School

It's the first day of 4th grade!  Just like every first day of school, no worries to be found and excited to go back and see all of his friends.

Campout

What a great way to end the summer!  Steve and James camping out on the trampoline.  They even stayed out there all night.

Colorado! (Again)

Another fun trip to Colorado!  Biking, canoeing, and an awesome day in Boulder.  Not to mention Grandma & Grandpa ;)
