About James

Steve and I were lucky enough to adopt our son, James, when he was just 10 days old.

James is 10 years old now, and he has the sweetest little personality. He is so caring and considerate of others, and he wants everyone around him to be happy. He loves family hugs. Any time he sees Steve and I hugging or holding hands, his face lights up and he runs to join in.  On Saturday mornings James will wake up, run into our room, and jump into bed with us (and of course our dog Solo follows him), so all four of us lay in the family bed and watch cartoons, or Steve and James will wrestle, or James and Solo will snuggle, etc. We just spend a little time enjoying being a family.

As sweet as James is though, he definitely is all boy. He loves collecting football cards, playing sports, riding his bike, and helping his dad. (He is definitely his dads shadow.) And he is also becoming a pretty good chess player. He is the light of our lives and we are very blessed to have him.
We are so grateful to his wonderful birth mother, Rose. She and her husband had their first baby together a couple of years ago and we couldn't be happier for them. We kept in contact with Rose for the first 5 years mainly through letters, pictures, e-mails, texts, and Facebook. She lived very far away from us (on the opposite side of the country) so we didn't get to see her very often, but we talked about her a lot and we always tried to include her in all of the special moments of our lives.

Rose and her new little family moved back to Utah so now we get to see them all the time!  We are so happy to have her here.  We have been able to make up for some lost time by doing lots of fun stuff together.  Like going miniature golfing, riding roller coasters, going up to the family cabin, getting together with extended family, having BBQ's, and sharing holidays and birthdays together!  Words cannot express how happy we are to have Rose here with us.We love her so much, and we are so happy to have her in our family.
