We want to thank you for considering adoption for your baby, and for taking the time to get to know us a little bit better!
Our Story:
Mikelle and I met when she moved to Utah to go to college. She got a job at the same place I was working and I was instantly smitten with her. I asked her out right away...but she said no (she had some silly excuse about already seeing someone else.) I didn't give up though. I continued to pursue her and she continued to turn me down. Until one day, she had a little bit of car trouble and I was able to be the one to come to her rescue. After that she invited me to a thank you dinner. I must have done something right because a year and a half later we were married in the Timpanogos Temple. That was 16 awesome years ago! Now we have a wonderful 10-year-old son named James that we adopted when he was just 10 days old. James's adoption was such a great blessing for us. Words cannot express how much we love him and how much we love his birth mom, Rose. We are so lucky to Rose in our family. We enjoy many dinners, celebrations, holidays, outing, dates, special occasions and much more with Rose and her family, and we look forward to many, many more. She is a part of our family and she has welcomed us into her family as well. Having an open adoption has brought so much joy to all of us.
Things we like:
We enjoy doing things together and being together as a family. We love being outdoors, going camping/hunting, riding 4-wheelers, biking and hiking, going out on the boat/jet skis, etc. In the winter we like to snowmobile. One of our favorite things to do is spend time with extended family. We are fortunate to live very close to many family members on both sides. We get together for holidays, birthdays, Sunday dinners, etc. James loves his cousins and they always play hard when they are together. Adoption is very near and dear to us so we are very active in FSA. We get to help plan all of the FSA activities like the birth mother's walk, the summer parade float, and the monthly chat nights for adoptive couples. We love to help out wherever we can. Our feelings on adoption:
We are excited to have an open adoption with you! We would love to share letters, pictures, packages, texts, e-mails, phone calls, visits, and much more. If you would prefer something different, more or less, we are open to discuss anything. Our family blog is full of pictures and stories you can follow, and we love to keep updated with Facebook/Instagram as well. We look forward to sharing not just the present with you, but the future as well.
